Typeform

A step-by-step guide to triggering Zaplane workflows from Typeform submissions.

This guide walks you through connecting Typeform to Zaplane and adding a trigger to a workflow, so your workflow runs automatically whenever someone submits one of your Typeform forms. Unlike WordPress-native apps, Typeform needs a Personal Access Token and a webhook to be set up first. Let’s go through the process step by step.

Step 1: Get Your Typeform Personal Access Token

  • In your Typeform account, click your profile icon in the top right, then select Account settings.
Typeform Personal Access Token
  • Go to Personal tokens in the left menu, then click Generate a new token
Generate a new token.
  • Give the token a name, choose a scope (All scopes is simplest), then click Generate token
Typeform
  • Copy the token. Typeform only shows it once, so keep it somewhere safe.
Copy the token.

Step 2: Create a Connection in Zaplane

  • Go to Zaplane > Connections, then click Create credential.
Create credential.
  • Select Typeform from the app list.
Typeform
  • Paste your Personal Access Token, then click Save Connection

Step 3: Create a Workflow

  • Go to Zaplane > Workflows, then click Create Workflow.

Step 4: Add a Typeform Trigger

  • Inside the workflow editor, click Select an app under the Trigger box, then choose Apps.

  • Search for and select Typeform, then click Continue

  • Go to your Typeform Dashboard, open the form, then go to Connect > Webhooks, add a webhook, paste the URL, and save. Then click Continue back in Zaplane.

Step 7: Test and Activate the Workflow

  • On the Test tab, click Test Trigger to confirm it’s picking up the Typeform submission correctly, then click Save.

  • Finally, toggle the workflow to Active and click Update to publish it.
